So I am OBSESSED with The 10th Kingdom. For anyone who doesn't know (which I think might be everyone) the 10th Kingdom was a miniseries that was on TV in like 2000, and is made by the people who did Gulliver's Travels and The Odyssey. I actually hated everything done by that guy, but for some reason, the 10th Kingdom stuck on a major level, and I've spent the last 8 years just giving it love. The premise of the series is that a young woman (Virginia) and her father end up traveling through a magic mirror (the passage of which is located somewhere in New York's Central Park) and are transported into a dimension made up of all of our childhood fairytales. It's seven and a half hours long, and I somehow have seen this thing a million times. I don't even want to think about how I've managed that. haha.
Anyways, Wolf is Virginia's love interest, and he is actually half-wolf. <~ Hooray. haha. My hope is that even if you've never heard of this fantabulous miniseries, you'll still enjoy the art.
But seriously, go watch it.

wow. the odyssey? I never got to finish that series, but it was amazing! especially that I watched it when I was just a kid. On that basis alone I'd watch tenth kingdom! thanks for sharing such a detailed description. It means very much to me, the odyssey!! wow, I'm eager to watch tenth kingdom now. I hope it's on youtube can you tell me what station you watched it on? maybe I can get it at the library!
Oh yay! Happy to have gotten you interested! I believe it was on NBC, and I think I've known people to be able to find it at their libraries. As it is, I picked up a second copy (the first one got busted) of the DVD's the other day, and they were only $7. Not bad for a three part miniseries. haha
Holy crapoly! I love these little sketches so hard. 10th Kingdom was/still is fantastic, and I squealed so hard when I found the book.

Oh, thank you SO much! And DUDE! It IS fantastic and I ALSO squealed about the book. I was like, "I NEED TO SURROUND MYSELF WITH THIS!" haha. I think I still feel that way, actually.
I'm re-reading the book right now, which made me hunt down some TK fanart. When I found these, I was ecstatic. :]
