BIG FILE WARNING

So, further proof that I can draw things that don't look like big cartoon people. haha. Sorta..

I'm partial to the shiny belly. He was not a good model, but lord, the light done did shine off his rotund stomach in a way that worked well with pastels. lol.

Oh, and that torso with the arms crisscrossed over it: that's me. haha. I had to keep posing my arm, memorizing it for a second, drawing, and flinging my arm back into the pose, rinse, repeat.

These are a mish-mash of pieces from the beginning of 2009 and then the beginning of this year. OHBOY!

Oh, and sorry about the mature content labeling. I don't want people opening this at work and getting an unwanted eye-full.

Materials: thin black sharpie, HB-6B pencils, vine charcoal (my weapon of choice), sepia conte crayon, and pastels.

hahaha Oh, I'm so glad you like it as well, hun! Thank you! :D And yay, I was really happy to share something different on here. I have just stacks and stacks of life drawing stuff, but I rarely air it. This was a fun change of pace. :D

loving the torso with the hands one here especially, just dramatic expression with those hands, especially with how you emphasized it with darker lines :)

Thank you! That arm one and the leg one from the other collage were actually done as homework assignments (our instructor broke the class down by body parts, haha). He was insistent that we not do half-cocked work for those homework assignments and that they be interesting and very finished looking. I kept deciding to challenge myself because of that. haha

Kudos for that! my homework tends to be... nonexistant :P or half-assed, unless it's an essay I really enjoy working on :D

And yeah, like... I don't know, I think I'm just insane. lol. I was taking the class for FUN as well, but still felt like if I didn't produce these fantastic homework assignments, that I was a failure. This is clearly the talk of a crazy person. hahaha. Blarg. Blast me and my incessant need for good grades even when they don't matter! lol
